Helmut Findeiß only creates non-representational abstract paintings within it seems to be important for him that one can lead dialogues with the colors and shapes. The colors tell him how they want to act on the surface, the medium used (canvas, wood, etc.). The power of color expresses his spontaneous and hidden feelings. With the use of calligraphic elements in the form of lines and font he tries to submit and to develop his own style. Within his works the observer should be free to trace the illustrations in color and form - everyone should see what he wants to see at that peticular moment. Helmut always looks for new approaches and ways of viewing within his work. Paintings are almost never done for him and they often require further development. This leaves a permanent tension for him and also for the viewer, who may discover in many works that further development has taken place.
